Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelichele Gr1 Washed
Tastes Like: Peach Apricot Malt Toffee
With the incredible popularity of the anaerobic natural Chelichele we wanted to release this washed processing version of the same coffee, to highlight how processing method can affect the cup characteristics and intrinsic nature of a coffee. For this coffee, ripe cherries were pulped and allowed to ferment for 48 hours, before being washed and then dried. Drying is conducted slowly in the shade on raised beds, which takes several weeks due to the lack of sun exposure. The result is a distinctly fruity cup with more of a white wine acidity, a smoother body and a finish of chocolate, malt and toffee.
Available for either espresso or filter coffee brewing.
